What do I need?
|
You will need a to purchase and install a copy of ACT!™ 2009 or higher on each workstation and the PC/server on which your REO database will be installed. Based on our own experience, the REOEDGE™ REO Management System will run on most PC's just fine, but I personally recommend that you take advantage of the excellent PC values available via the Dell™ Outlet and upgrade your systems to Pentium™ Duo Core workstations.

How does it work?
|
After you have installed ACT!™ 2009 or after on your workstations and your shared PC/Server(aka the "z" drive). We will install a copy of our REOEDGE™ REO Management System on your shared PC/Server and link your workstations to REOEDGE™ REO Database.

Ease of Use
|
Learning to use the REOEDGE™ REO Management System is easy. From experience, we have found that the learning curve for first time users is very short. Once you input all of your current property assignments, ancillary data, and the photos, you will be running searches, creating custom look ups, and running reports in a relatively short time. Entering new assignments take just minutes. Setting up task reminders, just seconds.

Does it track expenses?
|
|
There are several add-on's that can be purchased and installed that will link your REOEDGE™ REO Management database to your QuickBooks™ database. We use one called ACT Link for QuickBooks™ version 3.2 which you can purchase directly from ACT! for around $150 and will link your database to QuickBooks 2008 and 2007.

Does it track sales?
|
The REOEDGE™ REO Management System was designed to track all stages of REO real estate, including sales, from first assignment to final disbursement post closing. We use it to track Occupancy Status, CFK offers and evictions status, securing and maintenance, listing assignments, incoming offers, pending offers, and closing. Our entire support staff knows the status of every property, every stage, every minute, of every day. It has been upgraded to include tracking of existing leases for non-owner tenants and short sales as well.

Task Management
|
It's as simple as setting a MSR or BPO reminder for each property and the REOEDGE™ REO Management System will flag you days before your task due date which will help eliminate late tasks. Does each Lender/Servicer/Outsourcer (LSO)have different due dates for similar tasks? You can easily keep track by setting up a separate automatic activity reminder for each property in just seconds. Have the reminders repeat just once, every 30 days, or for six months. Never be late again for your REO tasks.

Reporting
|
Reporting has never been easier. In just seconds, you can run a search all properties, or only properties in a certain status. You can confirm the winterization status, lawn status, and make sure the current list price is in line witht he recommended BPO values. Verifying the occupancy report statuses or current clean out conditions has never been easier.

Is there a storage capacity limit?
|
The only limit to storage is how large is your hard drive? We have the REOEDGE™ REO Management System installed on a DELL™ PowerEdge 840 QuadCore Server which I recently purchased on sale from the Dell Outlet for $549 and then I added three 1 TB hard drives for about $100 each. We use Microsoft Server 2003™ and I mirrored two of the three drives and then created a share folder so we have 1 TB of space available for storage.
Before we upgraded, we were using Pentium III™ based Server running Windows 2000 Professional™.

Does it integrate with other software?
|
Yes it does! We use it continuously with Microsoft Office™: Word, Excel, Outlook, the Brother™ Print to Fax service, QuickBooks™, Adobe PDF™, and others. We create and edit our auto fill documents using MS Word™, export data to MS Excel™ spreadsheets, print to PDF using Adobe™, and fax directly from our workstations using Brother's™ Print to Fax service.

Is there remote access?
|
Yes of course. There are a number of ways you can remote access the REOEDGE™ REO Management System. You can set up a VPN, or subscribe to a service such as GoToMyPC™, or WebEX PCNow™ for about $10 per month. I personally have been using WebEX PCNow™ for several years with no problems.
